About me
Ikmet Kara Chousein is a graduate of the University of the Aegean, School of Social Sciences, Department of Geography, with a major in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and a minor in Human Geography. He has completed a Master’s degree in Human Geography, Development, and Spatial Planning, focusing on sustainable development and spatial design. With extensive experience in mapping, spatial planning, and data analysis, he combines his expertise in GIS with human geography approaches, offering innovative solutions and tools for environmental and social projects. Additionally, he has received training in various fields, including website and application development, as well as data security. Specifically, he completed specialized programs as a Web Developer at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA), in collaborative learning environments at the University of Crete, and in the fundamentals of digital marketing through Google. Furthermore, he is a certified expert in personal data and network security (Data Protection Officer). He has also pursued training in modern sustainable development technologies and green energy at the University of Western Macedonia, while possessing expertise in spatial analysis and mapping through various ESRI programs.
In his professional career, he has worked as a Geographer and Environmental Consultant, undertaking responsibilities such as processing and analyzing geospatial data, drafting and submitting proposals for development programs, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement environmental and agricultural research projects. His experience in GIS project management enables him to coordinate teams and oversee the collection and analysis of data using modern remote sensing techniques and on-site inspections. He has participated in a variety of projects related to digital mapping and agricultural consulting, while his ability to analyze and present data in a clear and visually appealing manner adds significant value to the services he provides. His professional experience also includes collaborations as an external consultant with major companies and organizations, such as Agrodasiki Synergasia O.E., FAGUS O.E., ALPHAWOOD, GEOTEE, ELSTAT, and others.
